Halloween Kills is projected to make $50 million at the box office within its first three days of release, even amid the pandemic.
The feat is quite the accomplishment for the movie, as it is on track to have the biggest opening since the start of the pandemic for a horror movie debuting both in theaters and in streaming services, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film opened on October 15, and is a follow-up to the 2018 Halloween reboot, which earned more than $250 million worldwide.
Exceeding expectations: Halloween Kills, from Universal/Blumhouse/Miramax, was projected to make $30Ms-$40M but since its October 15 release, it's already earned over $50 million
The media outlet also reported that the feature film brought in $22.86M on Friday, with 36% of viewers opting to attend the showing after 9pm.
And according to EntTelligence, an analytics firm, 375,000 people went to see it Thursday night.
