Kate Garraway has revealed that she had to be taken to the hospital to be treated for an inflamed cornea after wearing her contact lenses for too long.
The journalist, 54, took to Instagram on Sunday to tell her followers that she was taken to Moorfields Eye Hospital after having very long days wearing her contacts.
She posted an image of herself lying down with one swollen eye as she reminded fellow carers that 'sometimes you have to put yourself first'.
Kate is a carer for her husband Derek Draper, who continues to battle 'devastating' effects of long Covid, after falling ill with coronavirus in March 2020.
