Pete Davidson and first-time Saturday Night Live host Rami Malek teamed up for a country music parody of Netflix's mega-hit Korean series Squid Game on the NBC show's latest episode. 

The musical sketch, which was a cover of Branchez & Big Wet’s 2017 song Turn Up On the Weekend, opened with Davidson and Malek appearing as country boys singing about their financial hardships. 

'I just got laid off, bar tab ain't paid off,' Pete sang with Rami crooning, 'Even had to sell my puppy.'

The skit then cut to Davidson and Rami, who were clad in the teal-green tracksuits worn by the characters in the show, as they prepared to compete in the deadly children's games.

The sketch featured spot-on replications of the series' set pieces and was chock-full of spoilers for the show.

Pete lamented that the contestants are identified by numbers instead of names as his tracksuit was labeled '456' which was the number assigned to Squid Game lead character Seong Gi-Hun (Lee Jung Jae). 

'Weird cards, pink guards, locked us in a big room....' sang Rami.

The pair then befriend the some of the other contestants with Pete looking up at the piggybank full of cash that was hung over the room.
