Adele has revealed three of her closest friends were not bowled over by her record-breaking new track Easy On Me when they first heard the song.
Speaking on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Greg James on Friday, the hit-maker, 33, explained: 'I sent a snippet of me singing it as I was writing it to three of my closest friends here. One didn't like it, the other one was like, ''Well, yeah, maybe, keep trying though''.'
Adding that one friend was too busy with work to even listen to the track - which has set a new world record for the most streams in a single day - Adele insisted: 'That was the perfect response for me.'
