The first trailer for Irvine Welsh's TV series Crime has been released, with Dougray Scott transforming into the character of DI Ray Lennox for the gritty drama.
The six-part BritBox series follows Detective Inspector Lennox as he investigates the disappearance of a 13-year-old schoolgirl.
Crime is the first TV series penned by Irvine - who famously wrote the 1993 novel Trainspotting.

In a first look trailer for the show, Scottish actor Dougray, 55, screamed and cried, getting emotional as he revealed: 'Every day is literally a matter of life or death... It tears my soul apart'.
The anxiety-inducing montage begins with the cryptic voiceover: 'They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions... Not in my mind.'
Before long, viewers are brought to the edge of their seat as they are introduced to an eerie flash of detectives, suspects, and the missing child's tearful mother as the electronic music builds to a climax.
Crime also stars Joanna Vanderham (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), Angela Griffin (White Lines), Ken Stott (The Dig) and Jamie Sives (Guilt), and was adapted by Irvine and Dean Cavanagh (Creation Stories).
