The filming locations for The Larkins have been revealed, with a quaint town in Kent among the sights used to film the Darling Buds of May remake. 

Underriver, three miles south-east of Sevenoaks, was the perfect setting for the family's home, while East Peckham was home to the church, village shop and green and pub. 

The Larkins - now showing on ITV - follows the family life of Pop Larkin (Bradley Walsh), his wife Ma Larkin (Joanna Scanlan) and their daughter Mariette ( Sabrina Bartlett) as they navigate village life.

The Durrell's screenwriter Simon Nye tells the story of the working class family, first brought to life in H.E. Bates' 1950s novel, for a new generation of fans who missed out on the nineties classic, which gave Hollywood star Catherine Zeta Jones her acting breakthrough. 

New aerial shots have revealed the stunning setting for the family's home nestled in the countryside, complete with farm buildings, vegetable gardens and series of outbuildings. 

While the Larkin's family's home was set in Underriver the church, church shop, village green and The Swan pub scenes were filmed in East Peckham.

Meanwhile the Horsted Keynes Railway Station in Sussex was also used for other scenes as well as Broadstairs Beach.

In the new series Bridgerton actress Sabrina reprises the Oscar-winning Welsh actress's role of Mariette, Bradley's on-screen daughter Mariette, while The Thick of It's Joanna will play the Larkin matriarch wife, Ma.

Grantchester's Tok Stephen was cast as Cedric 'Charley' Charlton, and Bradley's son Barney also landed a role as a village policeman.

The main focus is the love story between Mariette and village newcomer Charley who arrives in their village to investigate the family's tax affairs, but is quickly distracted by his feelings for Mariette.
