Kelis' husband of seven years, Mike Mora, shared a devastating update in his battle against stage four stomach cancer with his more than 12,500 followers.
He shared a screenshot of his biopsy results, which revealed he had a malignant tumor, on Instagram.
'So the morning of my last UCLA hospital stay, doctors came in my room and gave me the most horrifying, unexpected news,' he wrote.

Gastric adenocarcinoma is an aggressive cancer that grows rapidly in the cells of the stomach wall that can be hard to diagnose, unless a mass or tumor forms.
He continued: 'I did not understand the language written on this paper. All I knew from the look in their faces was that it wasn’t a good diagnosis.
'It was the worst diagnosis. And they were scared for me. I asked how they were going to help me. They said they couldn’t do anything else for me. I had to search on my for some sort of solution.. Scary days,' the photographer noted.

Mike first shared his diagnosis in an Instagram post as he marked a year since being told he had gastric adenocarcinoma, posting a snap from when he was admitted to the hospital.
'This picture was taken as I was being transferred to the oncology section of UCLA Santa Monica from nearby Ronald Reagan hospital,' he said underneath a photo of the back of a man wearing a Critical Care UCLA Transport t-shirt, and standing at the foot of a hospital bed.
Mike finished his message with 'the story will continue,' a phrase he's made regular use of as he documents his cancer battle.
