She welcomed her first child, a baby girl, with fiancé Ben Bhanvra last month.

And Louise Lytton has revealed being a mother to daughter Aura has been 'the best 7 weeks of my life' as she shared an adorable snap of herself cradling her newborn tot on Tuesday.

The EastEnders actress, 32, who plays Ruby Allen in the BBC soap, looked every inch the doting mum as she lovingly held her baby close to her in the new Instagram image.

Louisa wrapped up warm for autumn weather, donning a dark beanie hat, floral jacket and black leggings while sitting in a red leather chair.

The new mum gazed at her daughter and tenderly held her head, with the little one looking sweet in a pink baby grow.

Captioning her snap, Louisa shared just how much she was loving motherhood, but also joked about her lack of sleep.

She penned: ' The best 7 weeks of my life (would love a little 8 hour sleep though).'

It comes after Louisa recently spoke out on battling coronavirus soon after giving birth to her first child last month.

Louisa explained during an appearance on Loose Women on earlier this month: 'It was difficult because I had a long labour which resulted in an emergency C-section and just as we were finding our feet, we then both got Covid.

'So it's not been the best start, but she's been fine throughout, so that's all we can ask for really.'
