Jessica Simpson was back in the gym on Tuesday following a workout hiatus. 

The 41-year-old singer spoke about being 'determined to not let myself down' after 'procrastinating' a few workouts, but also spoke about balance and rewarding herself with a brownie. 

Continuing to show off her very trim figure following a drastic 100-pound weight loss, she stood on the treadmill in black leggings while taking a selfie for motivation.

'First day back at it and I'm already hurtin' and feelin' real dramatic about being sore,' she began. 

'I have been craving this, but procrastinating. One work out and I am determined to not let myself down. Although I will be eating a brownie to give myself some points! #beastmode #goMOMSgo.'

The smiling former pop star wore a figure hugging workout look that included black spandex and a matching top with fun patterned socks for a splash of color. 

The Open Book author had been very candid about her body image struggles over the years with her weight fluctuating throughout her pregnancies with daughters:  Maxwell, nine, and Birdie Mae, two, and a son, Ace, eight.
