Louise Redknapp reveals she thinks it is 'scary' what her children are exposed ...

Louise Redknapp has told how she thinks it is 'scary' that as a parent, she has no control over what her children are exposed to on their phones.

The singer, 46, who is mother to Charles, 17, and Beau, 12, with her ex Jamie Redknapp, has joined forces with EE to launch PhoneSmart, the nation's first phone license to help prepare children for life online.  

The campaign comes after Jamie recently married his partner Frida Andersson in an intimate ceremony at Chelsea registry office. 

Speaking about the campaign, Louise said: 'There are so many things to consider when giving your child a phone: it really is a minefield. 

'The scariest thing is, once the phone is in their hands, the parent no longer has control over what they're seeing or accessing. 

'The responsibility shifts to them, and that is huge! It's a really big decision to decide when the time is right.

'Having this Licence from EE reassures me that my child has an understanding of phone safety. 

'It really helps puts my mind at ease that my child understands how to use their device in the safest, most productive way.'

Jamie and Frida, who are expecting their first child together, held a reception at Scott's restaurant in Mayfair where they were joined by the likes of Frida's new in-laws Harry and Sandra Redknapp, as well as Jamie's cousin Frank Lampard and his wife Christine. 

Jamie's whirlwind nuptials are said to have come as quite a surprise to Louise as she reportedly didn't know they were engaged.

A source told OK!: 'Louise was quite shocked, she only found out very recently. They kept it very under wraps, nobody even knew they were engaged. 

'It's very mixed emotions for her, it's difficult because she's spoken quite openly about her regret, she's blamed Strictly quite a lot but, unfortunately, you can't turn the clock back.'
