But that didn't stop Tristan Thompson from wishing his 'future lawyer' Kim Kardashian a happy birthday as she turns 41.
The 30-year-old Sacramento Kings star shared a photo of himself with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star amid ongoing rumors of a reconciliation with his ex Khloé.

The throwback photo showed Tristan flashing a peace sign while wearing a white Supreme shirt and a backwards baseball cap.
Kim put on a busty display in a gray knit outfit and beamed as she snapped a selfie with the NBA player.
'Happy Birthday to my future lawyer @kimkardashian, you’ve inspired a whole generation with your hard work, dedication and efforts,' Tristan wrote in his caption. 'Soo proud of everything you’ve accomplished and it’s only the beginning. You got this Keeks! Enjoy your day!'
The basketball player was referencing Kim's goal to get her law license in his playful post.

As she's not taking the traditional law school path, she has to pass the First-Year Law Students' Examination, also known as the 'baby bar,' which is required for students at unaccredited institutions in order for them to take the bar later on.
However, Kim has already failed the baby bar multiple times, essentially putting her legal education and progress on hold until she can pass.
Although she shared updates on her legal education more often after first announcing her goal, Kim has stayed relatively quiet recently about her goal of become a lawyer.
