Teigen, 35, chat on the Today show with Hoda Kotb Tuesday about the lifestyle changes she made in the wake of the controversy. 'For me it was a big moment of like, "Wow, I need to find out how I can be better, how I can grow from this, learn from this,"' she said. 'There's that old cliché of "I'm glad it happened," but truly it made me a stronger person. A better person. The latest: Chrissy Teigen, 35, opened up about completing 100 days of sobriety on Tuesday, as she says she's looking to continue improving herself in the wake of a cyberbullying scandal earlier this year 'That's when I went sober, I went clean - I'm actually 100 days sober today and I'm, like, so excited, yeah. I feel so good. I feel clearheaded.' In August, Teigen took to Instagram looking back on a time she lived in New York, in which she said she 'was basically a functioning alcoholic' for a time, adding, 'This is not a brag.' She continued, 'I’d sit there with my multiple double vodka sodas and get day drunk by myself ... then buy hats I didn’t like or need.' Teigen at the time said she had been 'just reminiscing about New York a lot lately, when things were simple, thinking about all the stuff I’ve done and been through not just this year but in my life.' She continued: 'I look at my kids and I look at what I want their value to be and how I want them to treat people, and to see that in myself, that I wasn't doing that was - the hardest part for me was realizing, "My goodness, this really had an effect on people."' Teigen said she's looked back on 'how much [she's] changed just in the past year' and 'grown and learned' from past mistakes. 'And then to think of that in the term of a lifetime, how much room there is to always know more and be better,' she said.
