Jewel Kilcher shocked comedian Joe Rogan during an appearance on his Spotify podcast this week.
The singer-songwriter, 47, regaled Rogan with stories of her family's life on a ranch in the Alaskan wilderness, which included one outrageous tale involving her late grandmother Ruth and a stray cat.
'So getting cheese was really hard up there, and somehow my grandma had got a huge block of cheese,' Jewel explained.

'There was no electricity obviously, so it was out in an ice box in the back of the house in the shade.'
According to Jewel, Ruth then discovered that the cheese was missing, and a stray cat was the most likely culprit.
