The Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin led Netflix show, Grace and Frankie, announced this week that production on its seventh and final season had wrapped. 

Following a six year run on the streaming giant, viewers will officially be saying goodbye to the show's beloved characters played by Fonda, 83, and Tomlin, 82, next year. 

The series had released just four episodes of the seventh season in August after experiencing COVID-19 related production delays, with the rest of the 12 episodes set for air in 2022.

The comedic series follows the lives of Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin) — two very different women who forge a bond when their husbands (played by Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston) come out as gay and leave them for each other. 

A reunion on a grand scale, in the show Tomlin's husband Sol is played by Waterston who Fonda starred in The Newsroom with, while Fonda's on-screen husband is played by Sheen — Tomlin's The West Wing co-star. 

Various cast and crew had taken to social media to say an emotional goodbye to the show which first aired on Netflix in 2015. 

Brooklyn Decker, who plays the daughter of Fonda's Grace in the show, shared a group snap of whole cast and penned a statement of 'love and gratitude,' for the series' run.
