Just days after it was reported that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star Letitia Wright was injured on set, causing production to be shut down, the sequel may be facing even more delays.

Wright, 28, was injured on the set in Boston back in August, while filming a sequence using a stunt rig, though production wasn't expected to be impacted as the cast and crew filmed around her for two months.

However, it was reported last week that filming will be shut down as Wright recuperates, though a new report from The Hollywood Reporter reveals production may be impacted even further because Wright is not vaccinated from COVID-19.

After Wright was injured, she went back to her home in London to recuperate, as the production continued around her.

Production has now shifted back to the sequel's home base in Atlanta, with new travel rules put in place that could have a big impact on the shoot when Wright has recovered.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) issued new rules on Monday, stating that all non-immigrant and non-citizen air travelers to the United States be fully vaccinated from COVID-19.

Wright, who was born in Guyana and moved to London when she was just seven years old, is not a U.S. citizen.

Director Ryan Coogler is said to have shot all that he can without Wright, with the production hiatus expected to begin Thanksgiving week.

The filmmaker and other production team members are expected to use the hiatus to 'reconfigure' the shoot so they can get back on track for an early 2022 production re-start.
