Disney+ announced that Rodrick Rules - a sequel to its upcoming animated film Diary Of A Wimpy Kid - is coming in 2022.
On Friday, the studio revealed that it had set the second installment of its new animated Diary Of A Wimpy Kid franchise as part of its Disney+ Day celebration.
Disney+ unveiled the first poster for the movie on its official Twitter page along with the caption: 'The rules are simple: #RodrickRules. A new animated adventure from the Diary of a #WimpyKid franchise, is coming to #DisneyPlus. #DisneyPlusDay.'

The streaming platform also announced that the first film in the animated franchise will debut on December 3.
Directed by Swinton Scott, the voice cast includes Brady Noon, Ethan William Childress and Chris Diamantopoulos.
In 2010, Fox released the live-action/animated adaptation of the first book in Jeff Kinney’s mega-hit Diary of a Wimpy Kid graphic novel series, which was launched in 2007.
