'Tiger parents' Debbie and Kevin have had their strict parenting style dissected and critiqued on Nine's Parental Guidance.

And while they have taken on most of the feedback, Debbie has admitted she feels 'disappointed' by the program's editing.

She told Yahoo! she did show love and encouragement to her children but these moments were left out of the final edit during last week's busking challenge.

Unhappy: Parental Guidance's 'tiger mum' Debbie (pictured with husband Kevin) admits she is 'disappointed' by the show's editing and says important scenes were left out 

The couple's children, daughter Mimi, 12, and son Leo, 10, played their musical instruments on the street to make $20 in two hours.

She said: 'I was quite disappointed last week because I felt that the times when we showed [our children] love and affection or encouragement and support [those moments] were all cut out.'

The focus of the episode was instead Debbie criticising their playing ability, their lack of focus, and the mistakes they made.
