Dakota Johnson's father Don Johnson thinks Chris Martin is a 'lovely guy.'
The Miami Vice star, 71, offered some rare insight into the couple's relationship while talking to Fox 5 New York, telling reporter Rosanna Scotto he's 'happy' for his little girl, 32.
Asked if there are any wedding plans on the table, Don said: 'Oh God. I don't think much further than about the next seven to eight seconds.'
'But listen, if she's happy, I will be happy. He's a lovely guy,' he went on.

Don - who shares Dakota with ex Melanie Griffith - added that he was 'excited at the prospect of grandchildren, telling Fox: 'And if she decides to get married, I would imagine that there would be grandchildren not too far after that. I'd be pretty excited about that part.'
Asked whether he's a 'talk' with the Yellow singer, he joked: 'Well, no, we kind of wait until they get a little more confident in their position… a little further down the road with each other… and then we have the talk.'
Dakota and Chris first made headlines in 2017, when they jetted off to Israel at the beginning of their relationship.
Johnson and Martin went on to purchase a house in Malibu this past January.
