Jurgen Krauss was eliminated from The Great British Bake Off during Tuesday's tense semi-final.
The German baker had been one of the early favourites to win the show, but crashed out just before the final, leaving Chigs Parmar, Giuseppe Dell'Anno and Crystelle Pereira to battle it out for the title.
The tense episode saw the quartet tested with patisserie week, with presenter Matt Lucas admitting at one point: 'Oh my Lord, I don’t think I can take much more of this.'

During the show, Jurgen made Murder at the Opera slices and received complimentary comments from judge Prue Leith, who described them as 'sensational'.
Paul Hollywood, on the other hand, claimed that they lacked some flavour. And, unlike with the other bakers, Paul didn't shake Jurgen's hand.
Jurgen then acknowledged that he was at risk of leaving the show. He confessed: 'The bottom line is: I'm in trouble now.'

However, Jurgen did manage to impress the judges with his sable breton tart.
After receiving some positive feedback, he said: 'That went very well. What a relief. I will sleep better tonight.'
But Jurgen's fortunes took another turn with his showstopper effort, and his exit was subsequently confirmed.

Speaking about his time on the show and his exit at the semi-final stage, Jurgen said: 'I feel kind of OK... I kind of saw it coming. I think the others are more shocked than I am.
'It has been incredible and I have really enjoyed being here. I have made friends for life, and I will be with them in spirit.'
Jurgen also wished the other contestants good luck in the final. He said: 'I am really proud for the other three bakers to be in the final, they deserve it.

'We helped each other out all the way as bakers and during practice there was never any spark of competition.
'By the time we got to the semi-final we were close friends and we all appreciated each others' unique baking styles and personalities.'
