In a new interview Lizzo talked about the constant conversation around her body. 

Speaking with Essence magazine, the talented musician said the ceaseless chatter about being plus-size is 'exhausting' and added, 'We should be neutral about bodies.'

The 33-year-old performer is one of three cover stars for the latest issue of the glossy - Olympian Simone Biles, 24, and journalist Nikole Hannah Jones, 45, also appear on separate covers.

The November/December installment of the publication focuses on 'radical self-care,' looking back at 2021 as a whole.  

Lizzo is featured for resisting societal norms and pushing boundaries when it comes to what is considered conventionally attractive.

The star, whose full name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, said in her interview that she doesn't want her platform to put more emphasis on bigger black women, but instead inspire people to look beyond the surface.

'It's exhausting,' she said. 'And that's the point. I don't want to talk about this anymore.'
