Kourtney Kardashian got engaged to Travis Barker on Sunday, after the Blink-182 drummer got down on one knee at a Montecito beachfront hotel.

The 48-year-old singer and the 42-year-old reality star had been friends for many years before starting their romance.

Here we break down the history of their friendship and how it turned into romance. 

The couple had known each other for many years, with both Barker and Kardashian living in the same gated community in Calabasas.

The drummer had made appearances on Keeping Up With the Kardashians in the past, alongside his first wife, Shanna Moakler.

They were also spotted getting dinner and going to church services back in 2018 before they started dating.

October 2017 

Barker revealed in an interview that he and his daughter Alabama had dinner with the whole family.

'Actually, the other night I had dinner with all of them and they were really sweet,' his daughter said. 

Barker added, 'I told her she had a power dinner. … I told Alabama that was a really cool dinner to be a part of.'

September 2018 

Kardashian and Barker sparked more romance rumors when they were spotted leaving an L.A. vegan restaurant.

They were also seen attending church services at the Hillsong Church that month as well.
