Halle Berry will receive The People's Icon award at the upcoming 2021 People's Choice Awards.
The news about the 55-year-old actress-director was initially announced on Friday, when it was made known to the public that she would be honored for her contributions to the entertainment industry.
It was also revealed by E! that Cardi B would present the performer with the award during the forthcoming ceremony, which will be held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

Executive Vice President of Entertainment Live Events, Specials & E! News and NBCUniversal Entertainment Television and Streaming Jen Neal released a statement where she detailed why the actress was receiving the distinction.
'Throughout her career, Halle Berry has broken down barriers, directed and starred in diverse roles that have paved the way for others in the industry,' she said.
Neal made a point of highlighting the actress' impressive charitable efforts as one of the main reasons she was selected to receive the distinction.
'In addition to her filmography accolades and trendsetting ethos, Berry is known for her philanthropic work with women, children, and underserved communities... for all these reasons and more, we are honored to present her with 'The People's Icon' award,' she said.
