Louisa Jacobson is to star in the leading role of the new series The Gilded Age which is being dubbed at the US version of Downton Abbey.
The star, 30, who is the daughter of Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep, will play the character of aspiring writer Marian Brook who moves from Pennsylvania to New York to live with her wealthy aunts.
The new series is written by Downton's Julian Fellowes' and will feature an all-star ensemble cast including Cynthia Nixon and Christine Baranski.

Cynthia and Christine will play the role of Louisa's fictional aunts Ada Brook and Agnes Van Rhijn respectively.
Also starring in the HBO and Sky series are Carrie Coon, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Taissa Farmiga.
The show will be set set in 1882 during the American Gilded Age, a period of huge economic change.
Denee Benton and Louisa appeared on set back in April of this year in Victorian gowns as they filmed in New York City.
