Alexandra Burke has finally spoken out about her viral 'elephant in the room' comment that exploded on social media nine years ago.
The singer, 33, made an appearance on ITV show Daybreak back in 2012 where she claimed to have brought the phrase 'elephant in the room' to the UK, describing it as a 'very American saying'.
The amusing clip became popular on social media and has appeared on popular accounts such as @loveofhuns on Instagram.

Speaking to Tyla about the remark, Alexandra said: 'Yeah, it's quite funny! It makes people smile.
'It's such a light-hearted page to make people laugh, which is what we've all really needed over the last year or so.
'We all need to have a good laugh, and if an Instagram page can provide that to people, then we're all winning at life!'
