She may not have won MasterChef Australia: Back To Win last year, but Laura Sharrad had something else to celebrate on Tuesday.

The renowned 'pasta queen', who came runner-up to Emelia Jackson on Channel 10's popular cooking show in 2020, revealed on Instagram that she and her husband Max have welcomed a new addition to their family.

Posing in front of a Christmas tree, Laura confirmed the two were now the proud owners of an adorable miniature dachshund named Alfie.

'Alfie Sharrad, welcome to our world baby boy,' Laura sweetly captioned the post.

The Adelaide-based cook was inundated with messages from friends, with one reading: 'Welcome to the world as a dashy parent!' while another gushed: 'So cute!'

Laura married fellow chef Max in a beautiful wedding in 2018.

However, their love story actually began three years earlier, thanks to judge Jock Zonfrillo.
