Best Dance/Electronic Recording was the first category to be revealed with nominations including Afrojack, Bonobo and James Blake, on Tuesday morning. For Best Rep Performance, Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and Megan Thee Stallion were all recognized. Doja Cat, Lil Nas X, Tyler, The Creator, and Kanye West were selected for Best Melodic Rap. Music's biggest night: The 64th Annual Grammy Awards nominations were revealed on Tuesday morning Best Rap Album this year will be between Kanye West, Tyler, The Creator, Nas, Drake and J. Cole. Kanye's tenth album Donda will be up against his sometime rival Drake's Certified Love Boy. To have been eligible for a nomination this year, a recording will have had to have been released between Sept. 1, 2020, and Sept. 30, 2021. That means the likes of British superstar Adele will not be on the list, as she released her comeback single Easy On Me in October. Recording Academy Chief Executive Harvey Mason Jr. and Tammy Hurt, chair of the academy's board of trustees were in attendance for the nominations reveal. Tyler Parks also read out nominations. The music industry's biggest night is scheduled to take place on Jan. 31 in Los Angeles at the Staples Center, which will soon be changing its name.
