She was close to leaving I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! after just three days in the castle.

And Arlene Phillips admitted on Wednesday night that she was 'nervous' about moving from The Clink to Main Camp as the two teams merged.

The 78-year-old choreographer revealed in The Telegraph: 'I was very nervous walking into the Main Camp and what was inside was a group of people so welcoming I felt quite emotional.'

Arlene had been in The Clink alongside Naughty Boy, Richard Madeley, David Ginola and Danny Miller for the first three days of the competition.

She was wary about joining Kadeena Cox, Frankie Bridge, Matty Lee, Snoochie Shy and Louise Minchin in the Main Camp after she had been forced to sleep on the floor while they enjoyed comparable luxury.

And her concerns were echoed by Richard who said:  'I thought there might be a bit of friction at the outset because we’ve been down there all the time and they’ve been up here at our expense.

'So it was a relief to find the warmth and the welcome that they gave us was fantastic and all that potential rivalry just blew away.'

Meanwhile, Naughty Boy, who also nearly quit the competition after losing a trial earlier in the week, settled into his new camp without any trouble.

The 36-year-old DJ said: 'Thank God for a new day, the last few days, yeah, they were difficult but god is good but to come here and become a proper family, let’s go.'

It was a big turn around from the night before, which had seen Arlene in tears and Naughty Boy ready to walk from the show.

The music producer had been particularly vocal about his desire to leave following the Treacherous Traps trial, with the star remarking: 'My time here is done!'

He told his fellow campmates: 'I do think my time here is done. I had a feeling earlier and I was thinking about mum and obviously I love you guys.
