Paloma Faith has reassured Jessie J that she did the right thing by not cancelling her gig after suffering a miscarriage.

Jessie, 33, had taken to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal she'd learned doctors were unable to find a heartbeat during her third scan, after she'd fallen pregnant and decided to 'have a baby on her own.'   

Changing singer Paloma - who has two young children with her partner Leyman Lahcine - wrote in the comments of the post: 'Jessie you are 100 per cent doing the right thing.

'I had a miscarriage on a film set where I was filming and I just kept filming …. You get your joy from singing and you need your joy more than ever. You will and should have a baby…. Women are amazing!'   

Pixie Lott, 30,  also wrote: 'I'm so sorry Jessie, sending loads of love' while Laura Whitmore wrote:'Oh babe, I'm sorry. Sending love.'     

Jessie J was for the first time since bravely discussing her devastating miscarriage.as she headed to her planned performance in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. 

During the day Jessie was also seen heading to a hair salon and being gifted with a bouquet of flowers, after sharing her miscarriage with fans on social media

Earlier in the day, the British singer she revealed she had been told she had tragically lost her unborn baby.

Jessie told followers she had 'decided to have a baby on her own', after revealing in October she had split from her boyfriend of seven months Max Pham.  

The grieving songstress said she was 'still in shock' but decided to perform in Los Angeles later on Wednesday evening 'because singing will help me'.

Alongside a photo of her holding a pregnancy test, Jessie wrote: 'Yesterday morning I was laughing with a friend saying 'seriously though how am I going to get through my gig in LA tomorrow night without telling the whole audience I am pregnant'.

'By yesterday afternoon I was dreading the thought of getting through the gig without breaking down…

'After going for my 3rd scan and being told there was no longer a heartbeat. This morning. I feel like I have no control of my emotions. I may regret posting this. I may not. I actually don't know.'

Jessie had previously been open about suffering undiagnosed health issues, telling fans she couldn't go through a full day without suffering considerable pain.
