Sam Neill has been named as the lead actor in the Foxtel original series The Twelve.
Neill, 74, will be starring in the 2022 courtroom drama with Marta Dusseldorp, Brooke Satchwell, Kate Mulvany, and Hazem Shammas.
Based on the 2019 Belgian series De Twaalf, The Twelve is the story of 12 jurors who, while dealing with their own personal struggles, must decide the case of a woman accused of killing a child.

Brian Walsh, Foxtel's Executive Director of Television, said in a statement: 'The Twelve will continue Foxtel’s tradition of bringing gripping Australian drama to the screen – this time from the courtroom.'
