While millions of families around America were sharing turkey dinners with their families, Pee-Wee Herman instead paid homage to a holiday classic.
The 69-year-old comedian (real name Paul Reubens) shared a photo of his dinner on Twitter, a faithful recreation of the unconventional dinner in the 1973 special A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.
The tweet got nearly 600 retweets and over 6,200 likes in just a few hours.

The accompanying photo featured all of the items from the makeshift dinner Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Linus prepares for their friends: toast, popcorn, pretzels, jelly beans and an ice cream sundae with a cherry on top.
The original 25-minute special aired on the CBS network in 1973, and became an annual staple, though the network skipped the special in 1982, 1983 and 1988.
