Dune has finally crossed the $100million threshold at the US box office a month after release and a simultaneous debut on streaming platform HBO Max.
The stateside earnings now bring Denis Villeneuve directed film to a global total of over $370million.
The film which is an adaptation of Frank Herbert's 1965 novel made $400K on Thanksgiving Day on Thursday which brought it to a domestic total of $100.1million on the 35th day of its release.

The only other Warner Bros. film to have reached that same mark with a simultaneous release on HBO Max was Godzilla vs. Kong which did so after 12 weekends.
Director Villeneuve was not a fan of the film studio's decision to release all films under their banner both in theaters and the streaming platform as he blasted the move in December 2020.
