The younger sister of I'm A Celebrity star Naughty Boy was tragically struck and killed by a school bus aged seven in 1989 in Watford, his family have revealed.
The music producer, 40, was 'very close' to his little sister Samaira and 'blocked out the accident as a child', his older sister Saira told The Sun.
Saira told how their mother Zahia, 67, who has dementia and who has been cared for by Naughty Boy for five years, believes Samaira is still alive.

She added the family are having to relive the 1989 accident in Watford because mum Zahida, 67, has dementia and thinks Samaira is still alive.
Saira said of the star's, real name Shahid Khan and Samaira's relationship: 'They were really close and always played together. They were best buds. I think he blocked it out as a child. He wouldn't talk about it.
'He would go quiet when I talked about her as he remembers their times together. We talk about her a lot more nowadays. When we go to the shops to pick up food or clothes, mum asks us to buy things for her.
'I see that Shahid gets emotional when we are talking about it to mum constantly. She'll always be a part of our lives and we have fond memories of her.'

Saira added that she hoped the star would be able to confide in his campmates about the accident and 'use it as therapy.'
This comes as Naughty Boy's family have criticised trolls for claiming he has 'lost self confidence' after caring for his dementia-stricken mum Zahida, 66, for the past five years.
The record producer has made it no secret that he is thinking of quitting the show.
Having collaborated with the likes of Beyoncé and Sam Smith, he hasn't released an album since 2013's Hotel Cabana - which shot to number two on the UK chart.

According to The Sun, his family wrote a now-deleted tweet: 'NB is a proud mummy's boy because he has been caring for her for the last 5 years.
'She suffers from vascular dementia and many other illnesses which has resulted in her needing 24 hour care.
'He lacks a lot of self confidence and this is the first time he has left her - to do something for himself for the first time in years.

'Of course, trolls have no conscience or compassion to try and understand his emotions and mental state but to those who are being supportive, thank you so incredibly much.'

Naughty Boy's family recently banned Zahida from watching an episode where he was seen getting emotional and debating leaving the castle.
Discussing his possible departure, his niece Aisha told The Sun: 'Watching it she will get confused, especially if she saw him doing the trial, she would have been very, very distressed.'

Detailing how Zahida is coping, she went on: 'During the day, she is always like, 'Where is he? Is he coming home?' and we have to keep reminding her that no, he is on the show and she will see him on TV...
'Most nights, she will cheer, 'That is my son,' and she will talk to the TV, bless her.'
The Grammy nominee stunned fans earlier this week when he threatened to quit the show when the camps were divided.
He was chosen to do a trial by the stars in the main camp, believing he was picked because he was the 'weakest link' in The Clink.

Aisha admitted she had been 'worried' about his mental state prior to his appearance in the ITV favourite due to the two weeks of quarantining before entering.
Before entering the jungle, Naughty Boy detailed his mother's health battles, as he said: 'I think it is important for people like myself to create awareness about it.
'Dementia UK needs constant funding, and I am going to miss mum the most whilst I am away in the castle. I live with Mum, and I am used to seeing her all the time.'

He revealed earlier this year that he had stepped back from music to spend more time with his mother and act as her carer.
He said: 'Mum hasn't been very well, and it is going to be difficult for me being away. But that said, I think the break will be good for both of us.'
