One could be forgiven for not recognising Waterloo Road star Tommy Knight as he posed with a fan at Comic Con last week, but those who did wasted no time in showing their appreciation.
The actor, 28, was a far cry from Kevin Skelton, his teenage character in the Rochdale based BBC drama, while showing off a neatly manicured beard better suited to London's trendy hipster capital, Shoreditch.
Tommy, who also starred in Doctor Who spin off show Sarah Jane Adventures, rounded off the off-beat look with a knitted yellow watch cap and floral patterned shirt.
