The transgender daughter of Australian actor Mat Stevenson has revealed she wants to follow in her father's footsteps by becoming an actress.
TikTok star Grace Hyland, 20, who started her gender transition at age 12, told New Idea it would be her 'dream' to play a trans character in a TV series.
She said her ideal role would be on Home and Away, the long-running Aussie soap her father starred on in the early '90s as Adam Cameron.

'A dream of mine would be to play a transgender character on a series. Dad was on Home and Away for three years so it's nice to look back on and watch my dad's journey,' Grace said.
'It's a show about real people, and I think it would be good for shows like that to reflect trans stories.'
It comes after Mat symbolically adopted his daughter's best friend Belle Bambi, whose own father turned her away when she transitioned from male to female.

Grace shared the news on TikTok in August, telling her 304,000 followers: 'We're sisters now! My BFF's dad left because she's trans. So we did this!'
The accompanying video began with Grace handing a bouquet of flowers to Bambi, before cutting to Mat holding an adoption certificate and kissing her cheek.
'He's always supported me, and he wants to support Bambi, too,' Grace said.

Bambi shared a similar video on her own TikTok account, which showed Mat signing the unofficial adoption papers as she exclaimed: 'He's adopted me!'
While it wasn't a legally binding adoption, the certificate symbolised that Mat was Bambi's 'chosen dad' moving forward, making Grace her 'chosen sister'.
Grace has been documenting her male-to-female transition on social media since she began identifying as a girl at the age of 12.
