The Matildas have publicly thanked The Wiggles after fans blamed the children's musical group for the women's soccer team's loss against the United States.
In a post on Instagram on Sunday, the Matildas shared a short video of The Wiggles walking off the soccer field following their performance of the national anthem.
As they exited Sydney's ANZ Stadium, Matildas coach Tony Gustavsson excitedly approached the group and offered each member a fist bump.
