Adele has claimed her fourth consecutive UK number one album and the fastest selling of 2021 with her latest autobiographical LP, 30.
The release has generated 260,000 sales in one week and a staggering 55.7 million streams across its 12 tracks, many of which document the singer's painful divorce from Simon Konecki.
The sales figures also represent the biggest opening week on the UK’s Official Albums Chart since 2017 and sees 30 join previous albums 19, 21, and 25 as Number 1s on the UK Official Albums Chart.
Despite the impressive numbers, the record still sold 75 per cent less than her last album 25's first week of release.
