The Book of Boba Fett trailer teases the infamous bounty hunter taking over ...

Nearly four decades after he was thought to have died in the Sarlacc Pit at the beginning of Return of the Jedi, Boba Fett returns in a new trailer for The Book of Boba Fett, along with two new character posters of Boba Fett and Fennec Shand.

Temuera Morrison reprises his role as the iconic character from Season 2 of The Mandalorian, where it was revealed that he somehow survived his encounter in the Pit of Carkoon, where he was thought to have been eaten alive by the Sarlacc monster.

It was revealed in Season 2 of The Mandalorian that the bounty hunter is in fact alive and well, with the season finale post-credit scene setting up this new series.

The post-credit scene featured Boba Fett and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) return to Jabba the Hutt's old palace, where his former underling Bib Fortuna (Matthew Wood) is seemingly running his enterprise.

Boba and Fennec easily dispatch Bib and the rest of his underlings, with the post-credit scene showing Boba sitting on a throne, taking over Jabba's territory, which leads into the new spin-off.

While it was never fully revealed how Boba Fett survived his encounter with the Sarlacc, the new 30-second trailer teases a bit of his recovery, hinting we finally may find out, after all these years, how he survived the Sarlacc Pit.
