The I'm A Celebrity stars returned to Gwrych Castle on Tuesday after being evacuated due to Storm Arwen and while it didn't take long for things to heat up between the campmates, viewers fumed they were underwhelmed with the 'boring' return episode.

The show saw Kadeena Cox breaking down in tears after taking part in a tense Bushtucker trial, while Naughty Boy struggled to keep his cool with the Paralympian after she offered him cooking tips.

It comes after the ITV show was forced off air for three nights after the extreme weather in Wales caused technical damage on set and meant the celebrities had to be removed from their camp and returned to quarantine.

Addressing the show's return at the start of the programme, Dec quipped: 'Hello! It's been a crazy few days but the castle is back in business and the storm clouds have almost cleared on I'm A Celebrity!'

Ant then added: 'It feels so good to be back, we haven't been with you since Friday as it caused a lot of damage the storm did. The castle was fine though, it turns out these places are built to last! We were working hard to get the show back up, and the team did an incredible job.'

Meanwhile, with meals at stake after a weekend in the relative comfort of central heated isolation away from the makeshift camp, Arlene and Kadeena joined forces for the ominously named Bed Chamber Of Chills for Tuesday's trial.

After their fellow campmates decided amongst themselves that Kadeena and Arlene would compete for stars in the latest trial, the two set off to meet hosts Ant and Dec.

They soon discovered that they would be hopping onto a bunkbed before being plunged into darkness to secure coveted stars as snakes slithered over them.

However despite the scary trial, viewers were left underwhelmed with the show, branding it boring, while others even switched off entirely.

'It's just not the same as the jungle. Huge disappointment,' one fan fumed, while another wrote: 'I'm A Celeb 2021 is officially dead.'

Another complained: 'I don't know why they bothered carrying on with this series. It's so boring.'

A fourth commented: 'Honestly I had to switch channels. It's so boring and there's zero drama. Bring back Kim Woodburn and Katie Price.'

At the start of the trail with Kadeena and Arlene, Ant explained: 'Behind that door is the Bed Chamber of Chills.

'The bed chamber contains a bunk bed. One of you must take the top bunk, the other one the bottom bunk. On the roof of the top bunk are 11 stars.

'The celebrity in the top bunk must manoeuvre the stars around the maze to release them. They can then be dropped through a hole to the person in the bottom bunk.

'The celebrity on the bottom bunk will then need to find the star and place it in the collection rack.'

Kadeena and Arlene managed to walk away with an impressive ten out of eleven stars.

After the trial, Kadeena cried as Arlene said: 'I was so determined we were going to do it.'

Kadeena added: 'Once I found my route and found where I was going. I could feel stuff moving around… I'm not sure I was that calm. I'm buzzing.'

Returning to camp, Arlene quipped: 'We could not get 11 stars…' before Kadeena interjected: 'We got 10!'

In the Telegraph Naughty Boy said of their accomplishment: '10 out 11 stars is amazing, they did us proud.'

However, tension rose between Naughty Boy and Kadeena later in the evening as he cooked the oxtail won at the earlier trial.

Offering the music producer cooking tips, he responded: 'Kadeena please, I'm just working it out,' before saying to Snoochie Shy: 'I've never cut oxtail. Before I've even got into it Kadeena's telling me, ''Naughty you need to…'''

Unhappy with Naughty Boy's comments, Kadeena said: 'If he's going to moan about it, just say it to me. I was just trying to help.'

He replied: 'The thing is, before I've even cut it, you're telling me what to do.'

Kadeena fired back: 'I was just letting you know there was a bone that was going to be hard to get through. I'm cool not helping, I was just like, whatever…'

Naughty Boy then turned to Snoochie and asked: 'That's not rude is it? I don't want her to take it the wrong way,' but Kadeena insisted: 'It's cool.'

Elsewhere, the morning started with Frankie admitting she has been breaking wind in her sleeping bag.

The former Saturdays singer said in the Telegraph: 'Something quite satisfying about it. I don't know why. Look, we're eating so many beans, everyone's at it.

'When you're around everyone, you don't want to be doing that when you're around the campmates. So, I think maybe your sleeping bag's the safest place for it.'

Also in Tuesday's episode, Louise and David took on the latest Castle Coin Challenge.

Reading the scroll aloud, Louise said: 'The Lords' ponies are hungry. They demand to be fed. Search within the crates to find the apples that are red. Get one in each bucket, by sliding it down the board, then off you can trot, to claim your reward.'

The pair won the coins and headed to Kiosk Cledwyn's Ye Olde Shoppe, where they were asked to choose between Twiglets and apple pie, eventually settling on the latter.

The question to camp was: 'According to a recent survey, what percentage of adults said they pretended to be bad at a job in the hope that they wouldn't be asked to do it again? A: 20% or B 37%?'

The campmates guessed 20% and were correct, prompting David to joke about running away with the four small apple pies.

The latest episode comes after reports that the campmates have been given handwarmers since the storm to keep them warm.

A source told The Sun: 'Bosses know this is a programme where there's an expectation from the viewers that the celebs aren't in a holiday camp.

'But equally they have a duty of care to them, particularly the older, more vulnerable contestants.

'Not everyone will choose to use a heater, but they are there if they are wanted.'

I'm A Celebrity has been contacted by MailOnline for a comment.

The celebrities were seen returning to Gwrych Castle on Tuesday, after being evacuated due to Storm Arwen.

However a looming forecast of snow means that the celebrities' return to camp could be short lived as bad weather continues to threaten the show.

Recent brutal weather conditions meant ITV were forced to stop filming for three days after the wind and rain caused technical damage on set.

On Monday, insiders told the Sun that the the storm had cost the show £1million in damages, due to breakages, staffing costs and loss of advertising revenue.
