Blink-182's Mark Hoppus has revealed that he accidentally disclosed his stage-4 cancer diagnosis to his 1.2 million Instagram followers back in June instead of 'close friends'.
The 49-year old singer and bassist said that his 'brain fog' was so bad over the summer that he shared the devastating news to the world first by mistake, he explained to GQ magazine.
Hoppus had intended to post a jovial Instagram Story to his 'close friends' list on the app - with a picture of him at the hospital alongside the light-hearted caption: 'Yes hello. One cancer treatment, please.'
Except it was blasted to his entire fan base instead.
'Throughout the day as I'm getting chemotherapy and more bags of chemicals are being dropped into my body, other people are reaching out and they're like, "Dude, what's going on?"' the musician recounted.
