Dua Lipa has announced that she will not be performing at the iHeartRadio KIIS FM Jingle Ball.

The 26-year-old singer-songwriter made the unfortunate news known to her fans through a post that was shared to her Instagram Story on Friday, when she expressed that she had been diagnosed with laryngitis.

The star-studded festival will still take place in New York City on Friday evening, and artists such as Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran and Lil Nas X are currently set to perform.

Dua Lipa began her message by expressing that she was told not to appear at the musical event by medical professionals. 

'I'm heartbroken to have to share that I won't be able to perform at the iHeartRadio KISS FM Jingle Ball due to laryngitis, she wrote.

She added: 'As per my doctor's orders today, I will need to be on vocal rest for the next few days in order to fully heal.'

The Don't Start Now singer made a point of remarking that she was disappointed about missing out on the event and that her fans would likely still have fun at the show.
