He's known for splashing his cash on ritzy cars, homes and holidays. 

So it's no surprise Kyle Sandilands, 50, is happy to empty his pockets when tipping for good service.  

The KIIS FM radio titan is currently on the promotions trail for TapJar, app that allows customers to tip for quality service and hospitality without the need to carry physical cash or make physical contact.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia about his own tipping habits on Thursday, Sandilands said: 'I usually only tip if they're really friendly or they've done their job really well or... it's a pleasant experience.' 

'I never do the 20 percent thing. I'm not good at maths,' he said.   

When quizzed on the biggest tip he's ever given, Sandilands divulged: '[I tipped] probably $1000 at a restaurant somewhere and it's probably because it was an expensive bill and I thought, 'Oh s**t, I can't figure out the 20% so I'll put another thousand on it'.
