Arlene Phillips was the first celebrity to be eliminated from I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! on Sunday night.

The public vote meant that the choreographer, 78, was sent packing after 13 days in the camp, leaving her emotional campmates at Gwrych Castle behind. 

When asked by Ant and Dec on her exit how she was feeling, Arlene, the oldest celebrity in the show's history to take part, said: 'Relieved, but emotional because of everything this has been.'

After explaining to the show's long-running presenters that the venture was for her granddaughters, she added: 'It brings out a lot of emotion and makes you think about your life.'

Earlier on, things took an emotional turn for Kadeena Cox and Adam Woodyatt as the camp enjoyed their final meal before the first elimination.

The parasport athlete, 30, wiped away tears as she told her fellow celebrities how much they meant to her after bonding during their time in Grwych Castle and discussed her battle with multiple sclerosis. 

When the food arrived, Matty Lee read the scroll: 'Celebrities, as a result of Matty and Naughty Boy winning six stars in the Trial, you have hare.'

Simon stopped anyone helping them cook as he was on the chores with Naughty Boy.

David said in the Telegraph: 'It will be the first eviction so obviously it was a bit emotional. So everyone had a chance to say a few words. It was something really special.'

Danny Miller said: 'I can honestly say I understand what an instant bond means, an instant love means, because I do genuinely have an instant bond with all of you.

Matty said: 'I'm not normally quite good at meeting new people. Every single one of you, I think you're all awesome and hope we all stay connected.'

Simon Gregson said: 'It was so lovely to sit back and watch all the different groups of people get on… you guys just smashing it every day in the kitchen and entertaining us with… your rows… So, it was really, really good. I cannot wait to see you guys again on the outside.'

Naughty Boy said: 'It wasn't easy but we got through it and we got through it together. I'm sorry if me doing the Trials has made anyone feel like it's made them miss out on anything they could have done. The show's the show. But life continues. I want you all to be a part of mine. So thank you.'

Kadeena became emotional as she discussed her battle with multiple sclerosis, which she was diagnosed with in 2014 after suffering a stroke.

Multiple sclerosis is a condition which can affect the brain and spinal cord and can cause symptoms including problems with vision, arm and leg movement, sensation or balance.

She said: 'When I got ill, I felt like I lost control of me. And I lost me. You've helped me to remember who Kadeena is. I'm not defined by my illness.' 

'But the best moments are when I've been unwell. And that's when everyone's come around me and I felt so loved in those moments. I thank each and every one of you for your part you played in that, thank you.'   

Sunday's trial, Gross Vegas, was tackled by Naughty Boy and Matty Lee, who bagged six stars for camp. 

The gruesome challenge - Naughty Boy's 7th of the series - involved the DJ, 40 and the Olympic diver, 23, working their way through four Las Vegas-themed games in a bid to earn stars for camp.

Dec reminded him prior to the round that he had to spin twice, to which Matty replied: 'That's good, two chances of eating a penis.' 

The pair struggled during the second round, which saw them covered in castle critters as they attempted to find three jokers out of a pack of 300 playing cards. They only retrieved one. 

Naughty Boy earned two stars for the third instalment at Gross Vegas, which was dubbed Snake Eyes.   

The Grot Machine is what the campmates faced last, where they were drenched in fish guts, offal and gunge as they tried to catch coveted stars. They only caught one out of four stars for this round. 

'I washed my boxers and now look!' Naughty Boy joked at the end.

Contestants also completed the last part of the Lair Challenge during Sunday night's episode and were showered with fishy water.

Snoochie and Frankie were paired up while Simon and Naughty Boy were together and Danny returned to team up with Matty for the second instalment of the gruelling task.   

This time, the pairs were shackled in cauldrons and were showered with the water, while they tried to screw together pieces of a rod.
