AC/DC's Back In Black has topped Rolling Stone Australia's list of the 200 greatest Aussie albums of all time.

The 1980 rock classic beat out all contenders for the title in a comprehensive summary of Down Under musical accomplishments for the magazine's newest issue.

Also making the top ten were albums by INXS, Midnight Oil, Silverchair and Kylie Minogue.

By contrast, Silverchair had all five of their studio albums make the list, including their 1995 debut Frogstomp which placed number six on the list.

AC/DC had four albums make the list, while Midnight Oil and Powderfinger each had three entries.
