A disappointing result was put to one side on Monday morning as Dan Walker returned to work after suffering elimination from Strictly Come Dancing.
The BBC Breakfast presenter was in characteristically highs spirits as he made his way out of Salford Quays in Manchester, where he was greeted by waiting fans.
Walker, 44, was still carrying the blue two-piece suit he'd worn to present the daily breakfast show earlier that morning while posing for selfies outside the windswept studio.

On Sunday Walker paid tribute to ballroom partner Nadiya Bychkova as he became the tenth contestant to be eliminated from Strictly after facing TV presenter AJ Odudu in the dance-off.
Both performed again, with Walker and Nadiya dancing their Tango to Santa Maria by Gotan Project before AJ and her partner Kai Widdrington's Salsa to Rhythm Is Gonna Get You/Get On Your Feet by Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine.
After both couples had danced a second time the judges delivered their verdicts, with the vote swinging favourably towards AJ and Kai.
