Wilmer Valderrama has been tapped to star in and executive produce a new Zorro series for Disney Branded Television.
The 41-year-old That '70s Show star will put on the iconic mask to play Don Diego de la Vega and his alter ego, the masked horseman, for a live action reimagining of the 1950s series starring Guy Williams.
'Growing up, Zorro was the one character that made me, as a Latino, feel like I could be a hero,' Valderrama said in a statement to Variety.

The original Zorro series on Disney-ABC starred Williams and aired from 1957 and 1959, with an additional four hour-long episodes in 1960.
Most recently Antonio Banderas brought the character to life in the 1998 film, The Mask Of Zorro, and 2005's The Legend Of Zorro.
Along with Valderrama, the upcoming series will be executive produced by Gary Marsh — the outgoing president and chief creative officer of Disney Branded TV.
Marsh — who announced his exit after 33 years in September — oversaw successful Disney
