Nicole Richie spent some time with her husband, Joel Madden, as they tooled around town on bikes in Santa Barbara on Friday afternoon.
The 40-year-old fashion designer stayed warm wearing a black puffer jacket with matching slacks as she hopped on the back of an e-bike for a New Year's Eve ride in the affluent town roughly in hour north of Los Angeles.
While Richie appeared to be completely at ease on two wheels, Joel had a few issues with his electric wheels and had to get some help once his bike broke down.
