Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay insisted she 'didn't want a diamond' after a viewer sneered at her morganite engagement ring.
Her fiance Brock Davies was seen on the reality show buying the ring for Scheana, with whom he has a baby daughter named Summer.
'It’s morganite. Not actually a diamond,' sniffed one audience member on Twitter, prompting Scheana to respond: 'It’s still 12.74 carats. Why does it matter what stone?'

Another fan wrote that 'diamonds are overrated,' to which Scheana said: 'I agree. I didn’t want a Diamond. Morganites are beautiful and have so much meaning.'
The ring was a design by Kyle Chan, whose work has been featured in the film La La Land and been worn by such names as Lady Gaga and Beyonce.
Shortly after getting engaged over the summer Scheana's podcast revealed that the semi-precious morganite was surrounded by small diamonds.
Scheana, who froze her eggs a few years ago, went public with Brock over the summer of 2020 and quickly became pregnant with his baby.
