Nathan Cleary has spoken out about his controversial panther tattoo.
The NRL premiership-winning halfback admitted on Wednesday the pain he endured during the seven-hour tattoo session 'killed'.
'There was about two hours in there that were tough but it was all right,' the Penrith Panthers star, 24, told The Daily Telegraph.

Cleary proudly showed off his new ink of his club's mascot in a Instagram video posted by tattoo artist Sharn Standen earlier this month.
Covering the left side of his torso, Cleary's tattoo features the imposing head of a growling panther with the words 'Champs 21' inscribed underneath.
And while some loved the tribute, others were a little more critical.

Some suggested the word 'Champs' appeared to read as 'Choamps' thanks to the cursive writing.
Another read it as 'Chomp' and included a picture of the chocolate bar of the same name in their post.
One critic dubbed it 'the worst tattoo of all time'.
