David Arquette gave an awkward response when asked about working alongside his ex-wife Courteney Cox in the new Scream movie.
The pair appeared on Channel 10's The Project alongside movie lead Neve Campbell on Tuesday, with host Hamish Macdonald asking the exes how it felt to reprise their roles of Dewey Riley and reporter Gale Weathers following their 2010 split.
'Courteney, David, these films are so self-referential, it's pretty amazing watching you two on-screen together and talking about a past relationship,' Hamish said.

'You get the impression you guys enjoy that self-referential side to all of this as well?'
Courteney, 57, politely responded: 'It's really fun to act together, when we've done it before. I mean obviously with Scream, now that's our fifth time, but we've also acted before. It's really fun.'
But it was David's response that resulted in quite the awkward on-air moment, as he replied: 'Yeah, it's great...'
Hamish was picture visibly uncomfortable with the response, which resulted in a second of silence as he continued: 'Erm... now if you guys in real life...'
