Jamie Lynn Spears was overcome with emotion while discussing her 'complicated' relationship with megastar sister Britney on Good Morning America.

In a preview for the Sweet Magnolias star' highly-anticipated TV interview, which airs on Wednesday, the 30-year-old actress can be seen wiping away tears as she spoke of their estrangement.

'I love my sister,' Jamie Lynn told news anchor Juju Chang, 56, who replied: 'But things have gotten complicated.'

Sounding defeated, the mother-of-two, who resides in Louisiana with her husband Jamie Watson, confessed: 'I guess so.'  

Chang also asked the Zoey 101 alum directly what caused the 'rift' between them and what she regrets not saying, nodding to her new memoir Things I Should Have Said. 

Originally, Jamie Lynn titled her 240-page book I Must Confess: Family, Fame, and Figuring it Out referencing lyrics in Britney's 1998 hit Baby One More Time.

However, after considerable backlash from Britney's legion of devoted fans, Jamie Lynn changed it. 

The Toxic singer has publicly criticized her family for not supporting her during her 13-year conservatorship, which ended on November 12, including Jamie Lynn, whom she called a 'mean a**', back in July, for not being more supportive and standing up to their father, Jamie Sears, 69. 

'Not only did my family not do a godda** thing, my dad [Jamie] was all for it. Anything that happened to me had to be approved by my dad,' said Spears.
